Are polymer clay earrings heavy?

 

You will be surprised by how lightweight this material is. They will be comfortable to wear all day long and you might even forget you have them on!

How should I care for my clay jewelry?

 

Polymer clay is a durable, slightly flexible, and lightweight material when cured. Although durable, it can get scratched or broken by hitting hard surfaces/materials and rough handling. Be sure to store your earrings carefully so they won't be prone to being knocked around or in rough contact with other metal jewelry. 

 

Polymer clay is a plastic-like material once cured and will not shatter if dropped. It bends before breaking, but please take care and remember that each earring is handmade, wearable art, and can break with enough force.

 

Makeup and other debris can be removed from clay components by gently going over blemished areas with a cotton swab or soft cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol or water. Oils in makeup, hair products and perfumes could possibly stain or discolor the clay.

 

Raw brass components may tarnish and darken over time if exposed to water and oils from the skin, but can be easily cleaned with a soft jewelry cloth and/or tarnish remover. To avoid tarnishing, store in a dry space. 

 

To extend the life of your jewelry, it is highly recommended that jewelry be removed and stored safely prior to sleeping, bathing, swimming, and exercising. It is highly recommended to store polymer clay jewelry in a box with a lid.

Do you take custom orders?

These polymer clay earrings are 100% handmade from the color mixing of the clay, to rolling out and designing. Some patterns are more organically created than others. Because of the nature of material and process, it may be difficult to recreate past styles. However, please contact me to inquire about past designs or if you have something in mind that you are looking for.

SHIPPING

 

Shipping & packaging fees at checkout are based on the standard USPS rate for the shipping location and product weight. 

 

Items are shipped in a bubble mailer envelope. Jewelry pieces are secured in a sturdy jewelry box inside the bubble mailer. 

​

According to USPS, please allow 30 business days before filing a claim for a lost package. Shipping times may vary due to weather, holidays and the pandemic. 

​

If the package is returned to sender due to an input error when filling out your order, the customer will be responsible for reshipment fees. 

​

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

 

Freebird Spark does not accept returns or offer refunds. We may offer exchanges under limited circumstances. We have made the decision to limit exchanges and we choose not to accept returns because it is simply not cost-effective for our operation at this time.

I opened the package and it is broken! 

​

If you recently purchased jewelry from Freebird Spark and it is broken upon arrival or breaks on you within the first week, customers must e-mail their concern within 14 days of receiving items for an exchange. Exchange to be of similar value. I believe all jewelry should be handled with care, but should not fall apart on you. Please contact us so we can replace/exchange the item or provide options for repairing your jewelry. Our jewelry will not withstand abuse and we will not take responsibility for damaged jewelry from rough handling. As tempting as it may be to bend the earrings to test their flexibility, please don't! It will break with enough force.

The size is not what I was expecting.

​

We try our best to show my jewelry with some kind of basis for scale, whether it be a hand or coin. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to have the item pictured on a model. If you are still unsure about the size, please contact me at freebirdspark@gmail.com prior to ordering and I will assist you so that you know exactly what to expect.

I do not like the colors I selected or just not that into it. 

​

Please consider your purchase carefully. I try my best to take pictures of the products in the truest color representation and in different angles with the most minimal editing to not distort colors. Please note different screens may portray the colors slightly differently. A lot of effort is put into providing product details and images of the jewelry so that you can make an informed and confident decision before placing your order. Due to the handmade nature of clay and each piece of jewelry, please allow for slight variations and imperfections.
